A lovely Sunday afternoon was recently spent at The Palm Court Tea Salon. About twenty artists from The Drawing Room, Newcastle, drew and painted Marie Antoinette in the grounds and interior of Mansfield House. Tea was served on the lawn, rolled into position on wooden trolleys, while various creatives wrestled with the vexed problem of depicting silk while simultaneously eating a creamy scone. The suffering is real, people! Thank you to our host, Huckleberry Campbell, and for artist Ann Caddey for organizing this event. Pictures by Jessica Coughlan.
