My Year as a Fairy Tale

Bringing Magic and Marie Antoinette to Maitland

Strange enough to work…

Hi, and welcome to My Year as a Fairy Tale. On the 1st May, 2017, I will dress in historically accurate costumes as Marie Antoinette for one year, 24/7, and go about my everyday life in Maitland, a regional town in NSW, Australia. So this means going to work, doing the school pick up, visiting the supermarket and gym, all while wearing the extravagant costume of late eighteenth century France.

The aim of this project is to promote Maitland as a creative city and tourist destination, and to highlight the rich history of the Hunter Valley. Here’s a short video with a bit more information 🙂
